ShawnaLee’s artistic roots began when she was young, excelling in advanced art classes throughout school and achieving the highest score from the College Board with horses as her subject during her Senior Year in High School.  ShawnaLee graduated Cum Laude from the Connecticut State University earning Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art as well as Graphic Design/Illustration.

ShawnaLee’s education was not limited to her college courses.  Out of High School she started her own business painting horses and related subjects on T-shirts, tote bags, ornaments, horseshoes and more, selling them in local shows including the annual Woman’s Club Craft Fair and Ridgefield Sidewalk Sales.  From this exposure she received many of her early commissions for pet portraits.

ShawnaLee currently works in a variety of media.  The most popular orders include kiln fired ceramic platters of homes, and Charcoal portraits of children and pets, in addition to pencils, colored pencils, oils, acrylics and watercolors.
