The portrait procedure begins with a discussion of your ideas with the artist, followed by a collection of suitable photo-references.  ShawnaLee will be happy to receive your pictures for a non- obligating review.  After details have been worked out, a deposit is required for the portrait to begin.  Final payment (including tax) is due upon delivery and acceptance of the portrait (s).

1. Collect as many photographs as you can of the subject  in different positions,  in addition to the one you would like used for the main portrait.  Hint: profiles and soft expressions make the best portraits.  
2. Select the pose, background and medium you are interested in. (For example: your favorite picture, with neutral background, done in: charcoal, pen & ink, hand painted ceramic, colored pencils, graphite or other media)

All dry media comes with a complimentary neutral mat to fit your frame; (sizes represent the size of your frame).   Framing, photography, tax, shipping, and travel are not included in the estimated prices.  Prices may vary due to the complexity of detail, and number of subjects required for your piece.  Other sizes and media are available upon request.  Most dry media can be done in two to three weeks from the time all references and ideas are agreed upon.  Oil paintings may take several months.  Illustration work is available.
