Varnishing your oil painting:

Research on the longevity of oil paintings reveal that it takes at least six months to a full year of curing time before an oil painting may be safely varnished!  Premature varnishing may cause many undesirable problems from discoloration to crackleature over time. We don't want that!

Varnish is a clear layer that protects the surface from the environment and simultaneously enhances your painting by bringing that fresh-painted luster-glow back.  It's like getting a brand new painting all over again!
