The Gentle Practice

As a parent, I’ve spent a great deal of time hanging out in our dentists office! As my family has grown, so has my practice of oil painting while teeth get polished or fixed up! There is a great energy that comes out of working quickly! During the pandemic, my studio honored Dr. Bauer (Woodbury CT) with a portrait and inclusion in my Grant supported book “Pandemic Portraiture: Reflections of Healing” for his dedication to the safety of his staff and his clientele. Teeth don’t wait for pandemics to go away, and the dentists office is already at the forefront of safety with sanitized air circulation, mask wearing and glove wearing. Through my years of painting during visits, my work has been used to honor the employees as a surprise during their annual office celebration!
